From Chinas Titanium Valley to the Global Titanium Capital

February13, 2025

As the core area of China's Titanium Valley, Baoji High-tech Zone, relying on its own advantages, is actively building a highland for the new materials industry and promoting the titanium industry cluster to develop towards the high-end. Recently, reporters from Baoji News Network saw in Baoji High-tech Zone that the large steel structure workshops of the Titanium and New Materials Industrial Park Project in the Science and Technology New Town of Baoji High-tech Zone have been capped, and workers are currently carrying out the construction of the roof structure. After the project is completed, it can attract and newly establish more than 100 titanium enterprises. When it reaches full production capacity, it will form an annual titanium material processing capacity of 100,000 tons and drive the employment of more than 7,000 people.

The Titanium and New Materials Industrial Park Project in the Science and Technology New Town of Baoji High-tech Zone aims to build a world-class titanium and titanium alloy industrial base. With the vision of becoming a new engine for the innovative development of China's titanium industry, a demonstration park for the development of small, medium and micro enterprises across the country, and an integration center for the titanium industry chain along the "Belt and Road Initiative", it has designed six characteristic functions, including deep processing, trade logistics and information exchange, enterprise cultivation and product incubation, factor integration and technological innovation, talent introduction and cultivation, and demonstration promotion and industrial tourism.

This project started construction in January 2021. It has a planned area of 3,000 mu and is planned to be constructed in three phases. The first phase covers an area of 540 mu with a total investment of 1.9 billion yuan, mainly constructing 35 standard workshops with an area of 200,000 square meters, 4 power centers and supporting buildings. The second and third phases are planned to implement the "3431 Plan", namely three concentrated areas for smelting, forging and rolling, and titanium equipment, four large-scale projects for 3.5-meter-wide plates, profiles, pipelines for marine and petroleum use, and precision parts processing, three public service centers for environmental protection treatment, centralized procurement supply chain and logistics, and application incubation, and one titanium and titanium alloy technology research institute.
